Our vet called me today to inform me that Countess’ bloodwork results are back and it’s “not fantastic”. Her readings are borderline, just slightly above the minimum requirement. The vet says it is possible to go ahead with the surgery, if we wish.
But she is also extremely skinny and undernourished.
I decided we must not risk it, so our decision is to let the vet perk her up first. When she is in better health (which could be fast as two days, with good nutrition like eggs), the vet will determine again, if she is fit for the surgery. Only then, will we proceed.
