The Power of One

I wish to share this email with you.  It comes from Tonita Fernandez, an animal rescuer from the U.S.  It shows what I’ve always believed in – the Power of One.  If you have a passion to do something beneficial, don’t wait for support or to form a group, just start it.

Here’s the email from Tonita:

I ran into your website doing a search for something different.

I wanted to take the time to say “Thanks so much for what you do for the animals.” I live in the United States of America and have been doing death row dog rescue for 33 yrs now. I am not a non profit or an organization but only an individual that helps to save one dog at a time. I take them into my home and train them and feed them well and then help them to find a forever home with a nice family. It is hard work and costs me a lot of money for their veterinary care but I love dogs and try to save their lives.

Bless you for what you do. I hope someone can help you get the 2 dogs off of those chains. I know some of my rescue friends bring dogs from Taiwan back to America to save lives but we here in America have many locally that desperately need help that will unfortunately die every day as there are not enough homes for them.
The economy in America is now worse and that makes it especially hard for people to adopt large dogs.

The poor dog on the chain covered in mud reminds me of one of my own dogs. IF we lived closer I would take that dog and find it a home. My home is actually over filled with Rotweillers now that also need homes. It seems like it never ever ends. But thank you so much for what you do.
