The updates below are from Jamie Khoo. We are really happy that Sara is doing well. Many thanks to everyone who responded to help Sara in her medical expenses as well as in blood donation. May you all be blessed for your kindness.
Meanwhile, Sara needs a caring fosterer (or better still, an adopter). If you are able to help in any way, it would be very much appreciated.
Dear friends,
Here is an update about Sara, as of 5pm this evening:
Thursday 5pm: Sara continues to recover. She has been taken off the drip and painkillers and she’s not crying anymore. She eats but only when hand-fed. Dr says it could be due to the fact that she was the lowest ranking in the pack and only eats when “allowed” to. She seems a bit down as street dogs are not used to being caged. Next blood test is this saturday.
Later in the evening, around 10pm, here is another update:
My friends went to visit and said Sara was sleeping when they arrived. She opened her eyes as they approached but did not sit up. She kept an eye on them throughout the time they were there and was quiet, at peace and resting. They said she looks a little depressed but this is probably from being caged up, while she’s used to being free.
The vet has said that she is ready to go home once we are ready to take her and have found a home for her. We plan for her to stay at least until Saturday, which is when her next blood test is. In the meantime, we are on the lookout for a nice, caring, loving home for her – she will probably need quite a lot of care and observation for a while yet after going home.
I’ll send more news again as I hear more. Am trying to make it down to the vet to see her myself too – it has been quite busy on my end and haven’t been able to go to town yet to the animal hospital.
Thank you all once again for your help. The response to Sara’s fund has been quite promising and we should be okay to cover her bills. Thank you for all your donations!
Love,
Jamie
