The latest updates I’ve received from Jamie is that Sara is doing much, much better now. Her white blood count is 29000 (down from 47000 yesterday). And the best news is that her red blood count is 3 million (compared to 1 million yesterday). This indicates that she is on the road to recovery, and the vet is considering taking off the drip tomorrow.
At this rate of recovery, we hope she can progress on her own without needing blood transfusion (as per the urgent appeal this morning). However, Jamie is still taking down names of volunteer donors just in case Sara needs blood.
