Medical subsidy for a newly rescued kitten, but now R.I.P. (Maslinda Abd Talib’s)

Maslinda rescued a small kitten a few days ago and he had flu. So the kitten was brought to the vet for flu treatment. However, the vet noticed breathing difficulties, so an X-Ray was taken and he was found to have diaphragmatic hernia. Bronsyp Syrup and Clavamox were given for the time being, pending recovery before further treatment was to be administered for the hernia.

Sadly, the kitten passed away yesterday.

Maslinda named him “CT”, not knowing his gender at that time.

Have a better life now, CT.

We have subsidised RM77 for CT treatment for that day.

From Maslinda:

these are pics of CT, the 2nd hernia case which i applied for subsidy:
i thought he’s a female, therefore named CT (coz we have another tuxedo cat named TC).  he’s so friendly even when we first met him. he was active but become passive few days before he died. he was brought to the 1st vet where he was given some antibiotic. he breathe rapidly a day later which make me bring him to another vet. the vet noticed that his right eye have no blood circulation. the eyelid and below lid was absolute white compared to the other eye. she notice something was not right and proposed an xray to be done, which we did.
that’s when the vet showed me and compare his xray with other normal cat’s xray. it was a hernia case and for CT, surgery was suggested. he was supposed to be sent to HR yesterday for hernia surgery prep up. he passed on sunday night.
188- he sleeps on my arm
191-on the bed with other kittens
225- at the vet
231-night before he died, he went on bed and sleep beside me

I guess CT’s lifespan was meant to be a short one. He just came to receive some love and care, which Maslinda gave, and he’s on his way now to a better place.

Meanwhile, the other kitten rescued by Maslinda (http://animalcare.my/2012/06/07/another-diaphragmatic-hernia-case-in-a-kitten-maslinda-abu-talibs/), also diagnosed with diaphragmatic hernia passed away from an accident on Saturday. One of the community cats, Mangy, was also under quarantine in the same room as Mandy was sick, but while Maslinda was out, Mangy broke into the kitten’s cage and bit the kitten. Poor kitty, but sometimes these accidents happen no matter how much we try to protect them and ensure their safety. Maslinda had already put her in the cage, but Mangy got in, somehow. Mangy was named “Mangy” because she was first rescued with mange, but was treated and Maslinda took her in from the rescuer.

R.I.P., little kitty.
