Duke is a CNRM-ed cat, currently being looked after by Mas. In February, Duke was brought in to our panel vet for treatment for dog-bites. Although the wounds did not look too bad initially, it was later discovered that there was more than meets the eye. Upon shaving the fur, there appeared multiple wounds that finally required two surgeries. Duke was warded for almost two weeks.

Thought you might be interested in seeing Duke’s condition now. The fur has now grown back. The place where the huge patch of infected dead skin had been cut off and the edges of remaining skin pulled across and stitched together (it really looked horrible at that time and the vet had been most worried) has healed well and like the flank spay, there is a distinct line and the fur pattern ends abruptly on both sides. But never mind, Duke is lucky to have his dear life back and is not keen on winning any prizes in the looks department!
We are so glad Duke is alright now.

But, let’s steer clear of ’em stray dogs, Duke. We don’t want you to get hurt again, please…

I do always stay clear of them bad, bad dogs, Auntie KY, but somehow they seem to come out of nowhere and suddenly they have all surrounded me, all six big ones and I did not have even the faintest glimmer of hope to escape. But thank God, Abang Man had been right nearby all ready with a catapult in hand and that really saved my life! Thank you, Abang Man and Auntie KY!
