We have subsidised Rm150 for Kong’s treatment.

Kong was taken to the vet from Imm’s shelter on 23 July as his flu seemed quite bad. The vet confirmed that he had severe flu. We left Kong at the vet to be treated. His condition improved after a week, he regained his appetite but was still wheezing and had bouts of intense sneezing, hence his extended stay at the vet’s clinic. On 17 August I had Kong discharged as the vet was having a 10 day holiday break from the clinic. I took Kong to my home to stay for awhile to monitor his condition. Kong’s appetite remains good, he’s active but continues to have occasional bouts of sneezing. He’s on another round of antibiotics and I’m giving him Vit C and fish oil to help speed his recovery.
Kong was taken to Imm’s shelter in 2005 when he was a month old kitten. He was in a temple in Ampang,Ipohand was mewing loudly and incessantly searching for food as he was hungry. A retreat at the temple had just started with 60 retreatants, and Kong’s constant loud mewing was disturbing the retreat. At my request, Imm kindly took Kong to her home and eventually to the shelter when it was set up in 2006.
