Rani brought another two stray cats to be spayed under our sponsorship today.
This one is just done. She has not woken up from the anaesthetic yet (note that the tongue is still out).
All set for surgery.
These cats will be returned to the alley where Rani will continue feeding them. Rani is feeding quite a large number of cats in her alley. We will help her with the spaying-neutering of the entire colony.
For every stray animal spayed-neutered, thousands of unwanted births (and deaths) would be prevented.
Please spay-neuter the strays. Help keep their population under control. Help prevent unnecessary deaths and untold suffering.

The calico appears to be still nursing some kittens as the mammary glands are filled with milk. Is Rani feeding the kittens herself? The mother cats cannot be released back into the alley immediately after operation because the wound must not get dirty or wet. She must be confined in a cage together with all her nursing kittens.
Rani has nursed many spayed cats before, so I'm sure she knows what is required. The vet would also advise her. Thanks!
