Wendy gets a change of menu today

After visiting Russell, we headed for Puchong to spend time with Wendy.

Feeding Wendy the cooked chicken.  She ate most heartily.
After her lunch, she lay down, as usual, and I gave her a massage all over.  Then, Ainey snipped her nails.  She allowed this only for her front legs, but when Ainey tried on the hind legs, Wendy whined.
Soon after, Lydia and her husband, Peter, came up the stairs.  They too had come to visit Wendy.
Lydia massaged Wendy all over, and she seemed to like it very much.  She whined a little when we touched certain parts, so we think somewhere is probably hurting.
After a good round of massage, we decided to try to take Wendy for a walk, so I carried her downstairs, and took her out into the sun.  The sun energy is very healing, I’ve been told.
Wendy was still quite unsteady because of the ataxia.  So Lydia said a “sling” might help steady her back legs.  I brought a towel, and we made that into a sling.
Come on, Wendy.  You can do it.  Let’s walk the entire length.
Wendy made it.  In fact, she even trotted a bit.
Here’s the sling.  It’s to help her feel more confident.
Dr Edmund came out to see what we were doing.
He explained that the best for Wendy is still to be fostered in a loving home where there is someone to look after her daily, take her for walks, and feed her good nutrition.
Well, we have not been able to find any fosterer so this would have to do for now.
Wendy wanted to go back to her “room” as she nudged at the door of the clinic.  So I carried her back upstairs.
Here’s Lydia wiping her after her walk.
The toes, too.
Another round of food for Wendy!  This time, it’s from Lydia and it’s fried egg with chicken.  Not boiled.  Wendy certainly welcomed this change of diet.  It’s so much more delicious compared to boiled chicken.  Lydia says she uses the lightly-fried chicken skin as oil, and then fry the egg and chicken breastmeat.
Then, she had some FussieCat sardines.  She polished everything up!
The very satisfied patient, after her walk and meals.
Thank you, Lydia and Peter, for coming over to visit Wendy.  I’m sure Wendy appreciates it very much.
