From John Dalley:

These Dog’s Need Your Help Now!
Dear Friends and Supporters of Soi Dog,
I am writing to you from Bangkok where flooding still threatens the lives of animals. The crisis is worsening with additional areas flooding though we hope that the flood waters will start to recede. I cannot over emphasize to you the critical nature of the situation and the urgency involved in the rescue efforts.
The photo you see above was taken by Cindy Amey of Soi Dog during a recent rescue mission. This photo of dogs clinging to the rescue truck speaks for itself. The dedication of the rescue volunteers is truly admirable.
Rescue work continues around the clock with teams working long hours. As I write to you emergency shelters and medical facilities are being expanded as a matter of urgency outside of Bangkok and away from the flood waters.
Please click below to watch this poignant video tell the unfolding story.
Large trucks have been organized to transport animals to these emergency facilities. The trucks will ground lift animals on a 24/7 basis travelling to the shelter facilities at night and returning to Bangkok the next day. Night travel is preferred as it allows better coordination with incoming field rescuers and is less stressful for the animals.

My thanks to those of you who have donated towards saving the lives of animal flood victims in Bangkok.
Many thanks to the Humane Society International, World Vet’s and Network for Animal Protection for organizing and sending emergency veterinarians and other disaster relief specialists. The professionalism, cooperation and rapid response by these organizations is amazing. Their teams have arrived or are currently in the air to Bangkok.
Donations are still urgently needed to support the relief efforts.
Soi Dog will be there for these animals and will do whatever it takes to help them. Please stand by us at this critically important time. Your support will save lives.
Both veterinarian and non veterinarian volunteers are urgently needed. Please email Nadege Loucheuxnadege@soidog.org if interested in volunteering.
An emergency appeal fund has been established. Donations may be made online at:www.soidog.org/en/flood-relief.
Sincerely,
John Dalley
