No sooner had I got home, thinking I could finally rest when I received an SOS call from one of our vets whose clinic Eva is boarding in. Eva is the parvo survivor from Raub. We are helping to look after her for 3 weeks before returning her to Kwai Chee and Meiji.
It seems one of the dogs in the clinic had come down with distemper, and we needed to move Eva out immediately since she has not been vaccinated.
Oh dear…where could I put Eva? She needs to be isolated from other dogs because she has just recovered from parvo and may still be shedding the virus.
So, I made phonecalls to Ainey, Terry and Mandy – help, please! I thought we could perhaps board Eva at the temple, but we’d have that mosquito problem again. Mandy even offered to foster Eva for a few days, but her own dogs could be exposed to the disease. Finally, Ainey said her boss allowed her to board Eva in their warehouse, but only for a few days.
Ok, we’ll have to settle for that for now. We have no better choice.
I quickly transformed my daughter’s MyVi into my rescue vehicle, and assembled the big cage inside the car.
It was peak hour jam going into USJ, but I got there just as Ainey arrived.
I took little Eva out from the bathroom and put her into a box.
