Reiki-master, Trevor Lee, was very early today. He reached our meeting point at 2pm, and I had just finished my class, so I quickly got my things together, and drove home to get Wendy’s lunch (I cooked chicken for her this morning) plus a treat of canned food, just in case she is already bored of chicken.
Suddenly, the skies opened up and it poured “rhinoceroses and hippopotamuses”. The rain was so heavy, I could hardly see the road, and many parts of the road was flooded.
Trevor followed my car, and we made our way, amidst the pouring rain to Puchong, and at one point, I lost him, and he had to make a detour, but we got there in one piece.
It’s pretty amazing that me and my dyslexia could actually lead Trevor to Puchong. I am totally hopeless in directions. But I guess when the will is there, the universe will provide an answer.
We went upstairs to where Wendy was boarded, and Trevor laid his hands on her. The first thing Trevor said was that Wendy still has some fighting spirit left, but she needs the human touch. She needs human contact. Lots of it.
Yes, I know. Unlike Tara who already had a home (my mum had adopted her), Wendy has no home and no adopter. I have not been able to find a fosterer for Wendy at all. Trevor asked who visits Wendy and how often. Well, it has only been Ainey and me, and I hope, some other well-wishers, but I’m not sure, really.
Wendy needs visitors, and she needs to know that there are people who want her to get well and people who care about her. I have already appealed for people to visit and to bring food, but I don’t really know if anyone has responded.
Trevor continued doing reiki on Wendy, and taught me to massage the base chakra, which controls the survival instinct. He also moved the energy from the head chakra downwards along the spine.
The compassionate master at work.
Soon, Ainey arrived and all three of us were laying our hands on Wendy, though Ainey and I are not “initiated” at all. But I guess any form of massage helps Wendy when it is done with lots of love.
Trevor said the good thing about animals is that they are trusting and unlike humans, they do not doubt you. Animals are also always in touch with themselves. It’s we humans who are too preoccupied with 101 million things in our lives, so much so that we have lost touch with ourselves and with Nature. Animals also will not suspect, “Is he for real? Will it work?”, and this helps them to heal when you touch them with a lot of love. They trust you.
Sounds reasonable, doesn’t it? Healing has a lot to do with faith and trust too. And animals trust humans quite readily. They can sense that you mean well.
Soon, we noticed Wendy had calmed down and though she was still twitching, she seemed more comfortable. Trevor said Wendy was already “letting go” – that means she was more relaxed now (in a meditative state). This aids in healing.
We stopped the healing after a while because Trevor said by laying hands on her for so long, we had already transferred a lot of healing energy to Wendy and you can’t have too much of that for now. So we let her rest.
I asked if I could feed Wendy, and Trevor said to go ahead, so I put the cooked chicken in a bowl and gave it to Wendy. As usual, Wendy had to be coaxed to eat, so I handfed her. Her appetite was still pretty good. We were so happy to see her eat. However, she was still ataxic and a bit disorientated.
Wendy almost finished the food I had brought and with every bite she took, we praised her and encouraged her. After eating, she tried to stand up too, and we cheered her on.
We must have spent more than an hour with Wendy. Trevor said just being with humans who cared would help her recover. Wendy needs humans to give her a reason to continue fighting. We need to increase that fighting spirit in her.
Our most compassionate reiki-master said he would like to do hands-on healing on Wendy again tomorrow, and if possible, the next day as well.
We don’t know how to thank Trevor for coming all the way, to do this for Wendy.
We are extremely grateful.
Trevor, may you receive all the blessings from the universe for your compassion and generosity.
To Wendy: please get well soon. We’re all rooting for you.
