Some happy news from Bandar Puteri 5, Puchong

Here’s some happy photos and “better news” of our wards at Bandar Puteri 5, Puchong:

Wendy has been taken off the drips now.
(Wendy was fighting very hard for a few days – she has distemper, and already has the neurological signs (twitching))
This is the only survivor from the Gua Musang rescue where three puppies were rescued by a kind lady.  All three were diagnosed with distemper.  The two healthy-looking ones were forcibly put down by a well-known animal rescuer.  This remaining one is disabled.  Luckily someone intervened and advised this lady to remove this pup from that well-known animal rescuer.  This surviving pup has distemper but is also disabled.  We discharged Tara to make way for this pup at the clinic.  Tara is now being nursed by my mother.  She is recovering gradually.  Tara also has distemper.  So has Sean.
Distemper being a death sentence is a thing of the past.  We hope animal rescuers would keep up with the latest treatments available for such diseases and the fact that local breeds actually stand a good chance at combatting distemper.
PJay, whom Ainey now playfully calls “sui chai”.  He snapped at Ainey!  We sponsored his surgery to fix a metal plate to repair his fractured femur.  PJay was picked up from the highway by Ainey.
Eva, the parvo survivor from Kwai Chee’s shelter.  We sponsored her treatment.  Unfortunately, her friend, Lizzie, did not make it.  She passed away yesterday.  Eva is fit enough to be discharged.  We need a fosterer for her for 3 weeks.  Kwai Chee is not able to look after her.
We will always do our very best for all the animals that come through us.
That’s what really matters.
