Here’s what happened yesterday, with Meiji’s and Kwai Chee’s puppies.

Meiji brought 4 of her own pups and the Thai Lady brought 5 pups and 5 kittens (1 is completely blind, 2 have skin conditions, 1 is limping and another partially blind) for doctor to check on them. She didn’t bring the mother dog since she says the mother dog looks alright and there’s not enough space in her jeep after loading those pups so she decided she doesn’t need to bring the mother. Thankfully most of them are free of parvo and distemper. We did 5 random parvo tests and 1 distemper test on the weakest one. The one which was diagnosed with parvo is a black mixed schnauzer but we decided to board two of the mixed schnauzer (since their in the same cage) at MDDB’s halfway home after getting their consent to enable the doctor to check on them and administer vitamins & antibiotic injections as required.
After feeding all the pups with vitamins, anti-diarrhea and antibiotics solutions, they’re on their way back to Raub. By the way, we also packed extra medications for another 5 pups back in Raub as Meiji says they’re not feeling so well either.
We will be checking on the condition of all these “patients” tomorrow. We hope there is no more spread of parvo.
