Photos of the abandoned dogs in Kuchai Lama

I have been highlighting this case for a few days now.  Apparently (according to the neighbours), this family had kept many (as many as 20 at one time) dogs in their house compound.  Two weeks ago, they moved out, and left all the dogs behind.

The dogs do not have any food.  A good samaritan wrote to me about them when she chanced upon the house and the dogs.

We have a friend now working at getting the proper authorities to help these dogs.  But while that is happening (which normally takes time), we are providing food for the dogs.

I have appealed to people who live in the Kuchai Lama area to help us feed these dogs on a daily basis.  We have left dogfood with the neighbours.  If you can help, please write to me directly.  I have the address of the house.

There may be a total of 11 dogs (as counted by our volunteer on two days).  Two are chained up, and food has to be directed with a pole to these two dogs.

Here are the photos:

We are now providing food for these dogs, but for how long?  It is not a solution to the problem.  It seems a government authority has visited the house, but their officers left without doing anything.
Our greatest concern is in-breeding.  If these dogs are not spayed or neutered, in-breeding will start (or has already started), and soon the numbers will increase.
We are waiting until the end of the month.  Hopefully, the owner of the house would take back the house, and something more concrete can be done to help these poor dogs then.  We learnt that the house is rented, and these dogs belong to the tenant who has fled.  He had allegedly mentioned to the neighbours that he does not want the dogs anymore.
Animals are at the mercy of irresponsible humans.
Whither humanity?
