The fivesome

It’s another totally mad day today, so recovered or not, life has to go on and work has to go on.

I went to visit the fivesome (Perky, Sweetie, Russell, Jackie and Wendy) and now, Roger, after work today.

Aloysius had so kindly brought Roger back from his house to the vet’s clinic where we would be boarding him.  I could not find any transport for Roger since all of us work fulltime, so luckily Aloysius offered to fetch him for us.  Aloysius, I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting or thanking you yet, but thank you so, so much.

Lisa came to meet Aloysius and Roger at the clinic since I was at work.  Our vet found Roger rather pale, so his blood was tested and it is suspected that he has tick fever since his PCV is half of the normal reading.  Roger is now on antibiotics and should respond within 24 hours.

Get well soon, Roger.
Perky, Sweetie and Russell have been vaccinated and are ready for adoption.  Perky was especially happy and excited to see me.  She’s really a bundle of energy.

Perky and Sweetie – like sisters.

Jackie is very much more responsive now.  She also looks much better.

However, Wendy is showing more signs of distemper now.  She has started twitching (a neurological symptom).  However, our vet is confident she can pull through, but he does not have a proper isolation ward, so I have to move Wendy.

The only place I could board Wendy would be Puchong, with Tara.  Our vet called Puchong and it was arranged.  Wendy could go to Puchong.

I called all our volunteers, but none were free to help, so I had to enlist the help of Lisa again.  Lisa came, but found that we could not put the cage into her car.

So, I’m home now, taking a breather before I take my daughter’s car out and transport Wendy to Puchong.

Please pray I don’t get lost again.

Thank you, Lisa.  Thanks for being so willing to help.

It has just started to rain, so I had better wait until the rain subsides before transporting Wendy.
