I just spoke to our vet, and Wendy is displaying signs of distemper. She was tested negative on 20th December, but she is showing three out of the five clinical signs of distemper now.
These are the five clinical signs, according to our vet:
1. Nasal discharge
2. Cough (respiratory)
3. Diarrhoea (intestinal)
4. Skin lesions
5. Seizures (neurological)
If a dog displays three out of these five clinical symptoms, it is probable the dog has contracted distemper.
Wendy is being treated now. Right from the start, she had been isolated at the clinic from the rest.
The good thing is that Wendy still has very good appetite.
We can only hope for the best.
Please send healing energy.
