Meiji tells me she has since rescued another two litters of puppies (about ten or more, in total). I supposed this increases the number of dogs in her sanctuary to more than 100 now.
There is such a great urgency to do spay-neuter in Raub (or anywhere for that matter). The rate of breeding of stray animals is alarming.
A pair of unneutered animals can balloon up to 6000 new animals in 6 years (this is mathematically correct). Assuming 50% of them die, there is still 3000 new stray animals.
