I cooked chicken and garlic again for the foursome at PAWS today.
That’s Wendy, after finishing all the chicken (only the soup left). According to the caretaker, Mr Thanla, the vet came to examine Wendy and discovered she had a maggot wound. The maggots have been cleaned out now, and Wendy’s wounds need to be sprayed every day (notice the purple stains on her legs). Mr Thanla is looking after her. Wendy is still very thin.
Perky was as perky as always. Upon her arrival, she was skin and bones. After barely four days, she is filling up quite nicely.
Sweetie ate up all her food too.
Russell stuck his head out of a gap in the cage several times and we had to push him back in. Finally, Mr Thanla wove a metal chain to “seal up” the hole.
Every time I go to PAWS, I would stop to say hello to this miniature pinscher. Poor thing…she has been surrendered by her owner. PAWS is looking for someone to foster her until the end of her life. She has a tumour and is not expected to live very much longer. More details later.
