Please pray for Van Ness (Jermaine Wu Hui Ting’s)

I have been communicating for a few days with Jermaine over her rescued cat, Van Ness. Van Ness was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis and FIP and the vet had advised euthanasia. But Jermaine decided she could not do it as she felt Van Ness was willing to fight the battle.

We have pledged to help Jermaine with the medical bills of Van Ness as long as it is for attempts to save her life and/or to keep her comfortable with palliative care (provided our requirements as per our policy has been fulfilled).

We would like to request our readers to please pray for Van Ness, for her to be strong and at peace, to recover and also for Jermaine as we understand how trying it is for a caregiver to have to cope with a terminally ill animal.

Dear Dr Chan,

                       Good day Dr Chan , i m Jermaine . I m not sure do u still remember bout 2 weeks ago i applied the subsidies for a cat that ran in my house with injured leg .

                        Lately i found out she has some urinary incontinence problem so i bring her back to vet again ,vet said is the sequela of her spinal injured and she suggested me not to do anything because it no longer can be cure even go under surgery because the injured was long time ago , beside that the bill definitely wont be cheap .

                        I m really not sure should i just give up like this because i planned to  put her up for adoption but  as her condition now finding a forever home for her seem like mission impossible.

                        I really need your help on this, i wonder what should i do as the best welfare for her.

                        i wrote this email with a very heavy heart ,  vet just called up ….confirmed van ness positive in FIP and TOXOPLASMA test …. its mean she cannot be cure at all and the vet suggested to put her down to reduce her pain …..

                       i felt so sorry to her because i brought her to few vet clinic they been telling me she is healthy its just spinal injured but last few days she suddenly shaking n become weaker  ……… i hate that i cannot share her pain or save her ….but I decided to put her down asap  i dun wan let her suffer anymore …….

                  Anyway i just here to update you bout van ness and  Dr Chan do u hav any contact on animal cremation , i dun wanna just simply burial her i wish to keep her by my side .

                    Last does she still qualified for medical subsidy ? i need cash because i hav to bring all the stray behind my house for the virus test and vaccine asap due to van ness is the carrier now .

                 i m sorry to fail this mission on saving stray … i m so sorry ……

Van ness is still with me , I m struggling … I dun wan her suffering but in other way when look in her eyes I really dun wish to let her go … I m selfish …. Or Shd say I hav no right to kill her … Will try to get advise from the vet again Tmr

I had her bills for x ray n 2 virus test which I wanna apply for subsidy nt included euthanasia but is ok if she unqualified .

Dear Dr Chan ,

                        2/12/12 found out she keep shaking n barely can walk ,  i tot was bcuz of rainning day she felt cold and her spinal problem  .

                        3/12/12 still shaking n seem gone worse cuz she stop eating n drinking , barely can stand up

                        4/12/12 early morning rush to cheras Hospital Veterinar n trasfer to UPM veterinar due to emergency cases

   = first photo was when Dr melissa tried to run some checking on her and she was tension and poo

   = second photo  was when i decided to let her go thru virus test cuz after x ray shown out her spinal injured nt so serious she is not sick bcuz of this  , nurse tried to get some blood for test , they r so ungentle she yell for pain … break my heart . after that  as Dr melissa said virus test need few hrs to noe result , she advised us to bring van ness back for rest n she will call to inform .

                         4.56pm 4/12/12 i got the call from dr melissa …. positive for FIP n toxo virus test ….. means there is 0 chances for van ness to recover … she will just get worse n worse … dr advise … euthanasia and i have to clean whole house using clorox and bring others stray cat whom ever contact with van ness for virus test as soon as possible … i felt like been hit by thunder ….

   = thrid photo 5/12/12 8.12am now on everyday is a gift to her n me …. she woke up n tried to crawl out from blankie when saw me ……. i gave up euthanasia …… will be with her till the end

   original receipt and form alrd post out .Dr melissa gave 15% discount to wave out her consultation fees , appreciated for all she done for van ness .
