I have been following up on Rahnee’s case. According to Rani, Rahnee is doing fine. She is eating very well and can sit and walk around the cage. The wound has healed very well too, and Rani has been checking on it every day to make sure it is clean and dry.
We are glad to hear that Rahnee is doing well.
However, Rani cannot let Rahnee out of the cage because Rani had recently rescued a very aggressive partially blind dog (who hates cats). She has no choice but to keep this dog in her house because he is partially blind.
Rahnee’s surgery was funded by AnimalCare, and performed by a vet in Subang Jaya. The total cost was RM385, inclusive of one night’s boarding.

Background: Rahnee was a stray cat, rescued by Rani from the drain. She was found with rubberbands tightly wrapped around her limb. The limb had since rotted to the bone and the vet advised that the best option is to have it amputated since the cells and flesh had no chance of growing back, and Rahnee had already been using just three legs.
