This is Scarlett. She was rescued by Mary Yap from her office area in Old Klang Road and brought to be spayed at our panel vet in Subang Jaya a few weeks ago. The vet found her to be already pregnant!
We do NOT spay pregnant animals, so Teresa arranged for a fosterer, Jaja, on OKR to look after Scarlett until delivery.
Scarlett delivered end of October, and the photo above shows her two kittens (hey, don’t they look like her?).
Jaja is still fostering Scarlett and her kittens for now, but Scarlett would have to be returned after her babies are independent and she has been spayed because Jaja’s cat, Bunga, is feeling very jealous and insecure.
We will monitor Scarlett and her kittens until the kittens are weaned off mother’s milk, after which we will get Scarlett spayed, and the kittens will be put up for adoption.
