Why LLLP? Well, I’ve got it wrong before – so sorry. It’s “Park” and not “Farm”, as in Lotus Life Liberation Park (not Farm). So, it’s LLLP.
After visiting Rahnee, I went home again, to see to the fusebox and restore the power supply in my house so that the cats would feel more comfortable.
Then, it’s off to Carrefour to buy supplies for tomorrow’s LLLP trip.
Tomorrow’s trip was supposed to have been a spay-neuter trip for the farm dogs, but SPCA cancelled that yesterday. This is because it seems Bro Sui had got most of his own farm dogs spayed and neutered already.
Then, SPCA told me it’s supposed to be a rehoming trip – they wanted to rehome some of their shelter dogs in LLLP.
Today, I was told that’s cancelled too. No rehoming.
So, no trip?
They said they would only send food supplies there.
But I had already got some volunteers to help with their planned spay-neuter clinic, so we would still go.
We are also sending food supplies there, anyway.
So, tomorrow, it would be Ainey and me, Mandy Chee and her friends, Jamie Khoo and her friends, Chee Onn and Daniel (our tshirt designers!).
I’ve told SPCA to bring their vets there to evaluate the health and wellbeing of the dogs. And based on whatever they find, we will work on how best we can provide for their wellbeing.
We already knew right from the start that it would not be easy for the dogs to adjust to the vegetarian food, and there might be long-term disadvantages, but between euthanasia and this, which would you choose?
It is almost 11pm now, and I’ve just had my dinner! Now, it’s sorting out the tshirts, stock-checking…and to bed.
Tomorrow will be another day.
P.S. Mac isn’t doing too well again. I’d have to come back early and take him to the vet’s. There is just SO much to do! I need more volunteers, please!
