Today, is a day of good news for everyone!
Here’s updates on Super…
A little bit of background first…Super was found dumped in the marketplace. He is very possibly a purebred, and rare kind too. When first rescued, he was so badly emaciated, he was literally starving to death. He could not even eat because he kept vomitting out all the food. Super was skin and bones.
Super when first rescued. He was completely emaciated.
The vet said the only thing we could do to save him would be to do exploratory surgery to find out what is wrong. Thanks to you, we raised enough money to fund all the xrays, blood tests and the surgery, but on the day of the scheduled surgery, Super took a turn for the worst, and the vet said he would surely die on the table. There was no hope. He was already dying.
While we all wept for poor Super, I suggested that we take him for a second opinion, so off Super went to another vet.
Here (was it due to a change of environment or just a case of timing), Super was able to retain his food. Slowly, but surely, he began to eat small meals. He did not vomit at all.

So we worked hard at finding an adopter, and “the universe provided an answer” and sent us Mr Kumar. We explained Super’s condition to Mr Kumar, and how Super would need nursing care. Mr Kumar (bless him!) said he was willing to take Super and care for him. I also told the vet to check that Super was not suffering from any infectious disease as Mr Kumar has two other dogs.
After two weeks of rehabilitating at the clinic, Super was ready to go home. The two weeks was also needed to ensure that Super did not have any hidden diseases, and would be in better health.
Super and his new dad, Mr Kumar
According to Mr Kumar, Super can already run around now. Previously, he could hardly walk – his legs would buckle every few steps.
This is a day of rejoicing, my friends. We rejoice because there are still many kind-hearted people around, and we rejoice because our furry friends give us an opportunity to do something worthwhile with our lives – to be of service to our fellow-beings.
For this, we are grateful, and we are blessed.
Thank you, Mr Kumar. May you be blessed.
