Hi everyone.
Yesterday, we were all practically mourning (some of us were crying) over Super’s plight. Everything seeemed so bleak for the poor little fellow.
We decided to let another vet examine Super, just to seek a second opinion. So the rescuer brought Super to another vet. A simple blood test was taken.
Today, the vet will be studying all the xrays (a total of 12), the blood work, and we are now awaiting this vet’s diagnosis.
But here’s the good news, folks…
From yesterday until today, Super has NOT vomited!
This is incredibly good news because Super’s problem is that he cannot retain food, and hence, he was (is?) dying of starvation.
So far, he has managed to retain all the food he had taken since yesterday.
With this little bit of good news, we are hopeful again.
If Super can be fed small amounts at frequent intervals, and can retain the food, we may be able to perk him up after a few weeks, to be ready for surgery. In his present condition, surgery cannot be performed because he is just too weak.
Or, if surgery cannot be done, we will just sustain him with this regular feeds and he won’t have to starve to death.
Super is a very people-friendly dog and he thrives on visits.
Let’s all send positive healing energy to Super and wish him all the best.
On our end, we are doing everything possible for him.
Here’s Super’s photo:
Sometimes a change of environment and more loving care from people, can make a difference.
Think positive for Super, folks.
Let’s help him.
