Good morning, everyone.
I have been receiving many, many requests to help animals in need. And I need to correct some misconceptions that some people have.
1. I am NOT a veterinarian and I cannot give advice on how to treat or manage sick animals. If you have a sick animal, kindly bring the animal to a vet and have it properly diagnosed and treated.
2. I do NOT have an animal sanctuary and therefore cannot accept the animals that you are seeking to rehome. Please contact the no-kill animal sanctuaries in Malaysia and make enquiries if they can accept the animals. Please also understand that I already have two dogs and nine rescued cats now. I cannot break the law by bringing in another dog. My neighbour has put in TWO complaints about my dog barking at her, and I have received summonses for it. My nine cats are in a perpetual territorial crisis because of my two alpha cats, so I am struggling with this problem as well. Bringing another kitten into my household will further intensify this problem. One of my cats, Wolf, ran away from home because of this territorial problem in my house.
3. I cannot provide transport to ferry your animals to the vets because I am mostly doing this all by myself and I work. But we have a panel of five vets in Subang Jaya, Kota Kemuning, Puchong, Sri Petaling and Section 17. If you require the services of our vets for spaying and neutering (the discount is only for stray animals), please arrange for transport to bring the animal to the clinic and one of our volunteers (or myself) will meet you there. Payment for the spaying and neutering of strays will be borne by us as long as we still have funds. But if you would like to chip in, it is most appreciated.
4. If you would like me to put up a posting to get an animal adopted, please send me a clear photo (or photos) in jpeg with as much information as you can about the animal. And please give me your contact details. If you would like me to put up a posting to help any needy animal, please give me the full details, with photos, and please provide your contact details so that the people who want to help can contact you directly. For rehoming, the best website to put up your posting is petfinder.my . It has a very large readership.
Our focus is mainly on the spaying and neutering of stray animals as a long-term solution to control the stray population in our neighbourhood. Inevitably, we also end up helping in adoptions and SOS cases. We will help if it is within our capacity. But please understand that I am doing this alone, with the assistance of only a few volunteers, and there is only so much that I can do.
If you would like to help by becoming a volunteer, it would be greatly appreciated.
I need fosterers and rehomers most of all.
Thank you.
