Great, great news, folks! Keep those prayers coming, please.
Latest update from the reader is who volunteering to help Ongsan:
Dear Dr Chan,
Just went to see Ongsan. Thank you for all the prayers and it must be working.
His jaundice has disappeared and he is so hungry and kept on asking for food. That was the first gesture when he showed me when I walked in and he ‘spoke’ to me by making eating gestures with his mouth – asking for food.
He ate up all his AD mixed brand essence of chicken and with all his meds (syringed fed by the vet) and gobbled up a bowl full RC baby kibbles and still have room for more -( He has has to wait for tea time for his natural balance meal mixed with sporonox). All this while he was given his fluid therapy.
However, the vet would like to keep him until he at least stabilised (no need fluid therapy anymore) and put on some weight and the swelling on his nose gone down before discharging him; maybe somewhere around next week. Then, it will be easier for Mas to care for him as she don’t have to travel so far away to and fro.
Keep up the prayers and here is Ongsan saying Thank you everyone for the prayers and get well wishes and vibes.
Hey Ongsan! Get well soon and get stronger every day!
Lots of friends are rooting for you!
We’ll never really know how prayer works, but ask anyone who has faith and believes in a greater power in the Universe and she/he will testify that it does work.
Here’s a logical perspective on how prayer works: Prayers are good and wholesome wishes. When a sick person knows that his friends and family are praying for him, he feels good. This knowing that his friends and family care for him and want the best for him gives him the positive mental energy to remain optimistic and hopeful. Hope and positivity is a great motivator for healing.
So how does Ongsan know we are all praying for him?
Hey, Ongsan is a cat!
Cats know….somehow.
So do dogs, and many animals because they have a sixth sense.
Would humans know?
Well, maybe they don’t have to, because they can speak, they have handphones, emails, smses, whatsapps and what have you! So you can tell them straight that you are praying for them!
And since we are at it, please also send some positive vibes to Maslinda. She has not been well. Get well soon, Maslinda! (I hope you read this, or never mind, I will sms you!)
