We have subsidised RM28.50 for the deworming and medication for these 4 puppies rescued by Lester Hiew and his mother, Jenny Khong. The total claimable bill is RM57 (we do not subsidise Frontline). This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund.

Subject: Application for medical subsidy for 4 puppies (now 2 left).
To: “chankahyein@gmail.com” <chankahyein@gmail.com>good afternoon Dr Chan,my mother and i wants to apply for a medical subsidy for 4 puppies found in Klang Jaya, Klang.when we first found them on 15/5/13, their eyes were still closed even though they are almost 3 weeks. they had some mucus on their noses and also on their eyes. we were also told by the neighbours there that their mother dog is not feeding them as much.we brought them to the vet in Klang for a check-up and found out that they had flu and their immune system is weak due to lack of mother’s milk. The vet gave us antibiotics, immune boosters, and etc to feed the puppies daily for 2 weeks.2 days later, 17/5/13, the black and white puppy passed away. 3 more black puppies remaining.on 22/5/13, one of the 3 black puppies was adopted. unfortunately, my mother did not take the picture of the puppy and her adopter.latest update, 24/5/13, there are 2 remaining puppies, a male and a female.the male has a big growth on his neck and on his thigh. brought the male to K9 again for an explanation. not sure what caused the growth but the vet said that there is hardened puss inside the 2 growths. have to perform a minor surgery if antibiotics and medicines do not work.attached are the pictures of the puppies in a box, initially found, and the latest picture of them after the black and white puppy passed away and before 1 of them got adopted. will take more recent pictures of them.i want to confirm that we are not asking funds from anyone or anywhere else regarding these puppies.thank you very much.Lester Hiew
