Medical subsidy for Lebuh Ampang cats, Ginger and McDreamy (Norely Abd Rahman’s)

Ref: http://animalcare.my/2013/06/20/help-needed-for-the-ampang-colony-marina-mustaphas/

We have subsidised RM36 for the treatment of these two Lebuh Ampang cats, Ginger and Grey. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM16) and Berjaya Cares (RM20). According to the receipt, RM52 was for Ginger (consultation, deworming and eye treatment) and RM12 was for Grey@McDreamy (deworming only). We do not subsidise Frontline Spot-On.

Dear Dr. Chan,
Our adventure with the Ampang colony did not turn out to be as successful as we wanted it to be. We only managed to catch 2 cats which brings us to a total of 4 cats in our care now. A ginger one eyed cat (which will be admitted tomorrow for her eye operation), McDreamy and 2 new additions, Whitey and Blackie.
I enclosed here a scanned copy of the receipt. One is for McDreamy’s vaccination and the other two are for the deposit that I had to put for both Blackie and Whitey. I will post them tomorrow. There are 3 more cats at large there. The very pregnant calico, a pregnant tuxedo and a very feral black male. We don’t know how to help them as they are very hard to catch. Marina had scratches on her hand trying to get them this morning.
Our plan for the 3 that we have, Ginger, Whitey and Blackie is to release them back to Lebuh Ampang after neutering. In the mean time we will try to get an adopter for McDreamy. The other 3 at large, we’ll try another time but honestly, the male black feral one, we are not very keen to catch. He’s big and fierce.
That’s my update Dr. Chan. If you hear anyone in need of a sweet, gentle, male kitty, do let me know.
Ely

Thanks Dr. Chan. Grey is McDreamy. I haven’t given him the name at that time. The date on the receipt is the date I rescued them. After rescuing, I sent them straight to the vet. Just so you know, these are 2 of the 4 that Marina & I rescued from the Ampang colony. I still have another receipt with me still for both of them. The Ginger One Eyed that was supposed to have her eye operated on was sent on Monday but the vet said that no operation is necessary now that her infection has cleared. I also asked the vet to vaccinate her. Those will be shown in the receipt that I will send later (treatment & vaccination). And another receipt for McDreamy’s vaccination.
Ginger One Eyed is one of the recues from Marina’s Ampang colony. She has been dewormed, vaccinated and is flea free. She has received medication for her eye and the operation that was scheduled to happen on Monday  (1 July) for her eye was canceled because the infection has cleared up nicely. She will be sent for spaying this Sunday (7 July). She is looking for a forever home. Let me know if anyone is interested to adopt her.

McDreamy is a kitten from the Ampang colony. He is between 31/2 – 4 months old when rescued. He has been dewormed and vaccinated and is flea free. He will go to his forever home tomorrow (Friday).
