We have sponsored RM1435.25 worth of dogfood for Mdm Lim Tiang Seouk to feed the Kangar community dogs. This purchase comprises canned food, kibbles and rice.
This sponsorship comes from all donors through our Food Fund (RM735.25) and Mr Kok Khee Wee (RM700).
According to Mdm Lim’s daughter, Nujtiya Chareansouk, this supply will last until October 2013 for Mdm Lim’s dogs. Nujtiya works in Johor and whenever she goes back home to Perlis, she helps her mother with these purchases.
Mdm Lim Tiang Seouk is 68 years old and resides in Kangar. Her income is from collecting recyclable materials. She has 3 dogs at home and feeds 7 dogs and 2 cats in her neighbourhood. She also feeds about 20 stray dogs and cats in Kangar town. These dogs and cats are located at the shoplots near a coffee shop she used to work at and there are also dogs who wait for her daily located at an unoccupied piece of land. She can only feed them at night to avoid being chided by those who are unsympathetic towards her cause. Apart from looking after these dogs and cats, Mdm Lim also takes care of one of her daughters who is seriously ill and the daughter’s child.
As per our policy requirements, we received the actual receipts for all purchases. The above is a breakd0wn by Nujtiya (saves me the effort of writing it all down!).

I think Mr Kok Khee Wee is most kind and compassionate too. I notice he has been regularly topping up the shortfall in the food and medical cases and being most generous with his donations too. Thank you kind sir … may you always be blessed for your compassion.

Thank you, Mr Kok and also all donors. We cannot mention everyone’s names so we only do it once a month in our donor list, but we truly appreciate everyone’s contribution as every bit counts. We also have donors like Mr Kok who writes in to offer more in certain cases. This is where the extras come from. Other than that, we go by our policies, to be fair to everyone.
