We have subsidised RM150 for the spaying and RM25 for the vaccination of this dog, Thong-O, from the temple. Dr Veeranoot is taking care of the medical needs of the temple dogs. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM75) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).

Thong-O is Thong-maak’s daughter (http://animalcare.my/2013/05/25/puppies-for-adoption-dr- veeranoot-nissapatorns/). This puppy is very quiet and always stays alone due mainly to avoid bullying from dogs.I first thought that Thong-O has been adopted by a well-wisher who comes to the temple. On mid-July, I happened to see her again at the temple ground where she still moves around with the most senior female dog who has been looking after her all this while. During this time, Thong-O was sent to the hospital due to heavily tick infestation, the vet took nearly an hour to remove ticks, frontlined and given antibiotic. During parvovirus outbreak, I had to do preventive measures to curb the incidence of this deadly virus among dogs in the temple. While I was busy with my task, it is unfortunately to inform you that one female dog is pregnant, delivered but I have not yet be able to locate where-about of her puppies.Since there is no untoward incidence of parvovirus after-match, I consulted the vet on the possibility to continue my project and I got a green light.On 7th September, Thong-O was sent to the vet, spayed on the 9th and discharged on 14th with the 1st dose of vaccination.For your information, Thong-M was also spayed and vaccinated. While, Dog No 4 (Thong-R) has also been sent to the vet on 14th September for spaying. I will update you once they are discharged from the clinic.Any amount of this subsidy from AnimalCare society will be used for the benefit of more temple dogs.Thank you for your kind consideration.Sukhi Hotu!Nui
