We have sponsored 72 cans of Chicopee dogfood for Lester & Jenny’s community dogs. This sponsorship comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM100), Ms Cindy Lim (RM148), Mr Kok Khee Wee (RM148) and the rest of the bill is topped up by Andy Lew.

Our Food Fund will close by the end of this year so that we can channel all donations to our Medical Fund, which is our main mission.
The Food Fund had always been a “bonus”. It actually started with Meiji requesting dogfood back in the old days when we hadn’t formulated clear policies yet. Then, other rescuers also asked for food subsidy and as time went by, we realised that it was difficult to evaluate who qualifies and who does not.
This year, the number of applicants for medical subsidies have increased tremendously, so we need to prioritise and shift the focus entirely back to our Medical Fund.
All Food Fund recipients have been informed about the closure of our Food Fund and they have been given 3 months’ grace to source other ways of getting petfood for their animals.
