Subject: Request help to subsidies Pound Dog Rescued medical check up

One of the rescuer went to the pound two weeks ago (11.9.2013) and found out there were 13 dogs kept in cage for more than 1 month and were in schedule to PTS (Put To Sleep). She has posted these dogs photo in her facebook pleading people help to rescue out these dogs. Her friends and herself has rescued 4 dogs from the pound (Shih Tsu, Shaggy Dog, 2 Puppies).I went to the pound the next day after reading the posted pound dog photos to see how can I help. To my surprise, some of these dogs were abandoned by owners, two dogs got serious skin problems (Pitbull & Mix Terrier) and one injured dog (hit by car). These dogs were barking extensively like shouting for help when they saw me approaching their cages. I don’t have any experience at all to rescue pound dogs. However, my heart told me that these dogs deserve second chance.
With some helps from other dogs lovers who read the rescuer facebook posting, we brainstorming plan how to rescue these balance 9 dogs batch by batch. As most of them due to work commitment, couldn’t come to transfer these dogs to vet, myself purposely onleave for 1 week from work to make arrangement to take out these dogs using my Iswara car to vet that allow us to board and arrangement transport to some of these fierce dogs to vet and adopter/fosterer house.
These balance dogs were rescued out all by last week. Out of 9 dogs rescued, 3 dogs being adopted. Balance 6 dogs have not got adopter yet. I have arranged 4 dogs to board in vet, one dog at fosterer’s house and one dog I am fostering. I have no choice to board 4 dogs at vet first because I couldn’t find adopter / fosterer in such short period as my priority is to rescue these dogs out asap. Furthermore, these dogs need to be quarantine and receive medical treatment/ checkup due to skin problems and injured. All dogs rescued from pound were immediately sent to respective vets that allow me to bring into their vet and for boarding. I have posting rescued dogs photo in my facebook, hope that there are kind people can give them a home and second chance due to the trauma they had in the pound. Despite their ordeal, they are very tame, friendly dog. When I put them inside my car, the dogs didn’t give me any problem at all.
Most of the expenses on these rescuing mission were from my own pockets money. I have spent more than RM2K. One of the adopter Ms. Yoke Kean willing to pay 2 dogs incur expenses. Ms. Pooja whom I knew thru the facebook posting gave me your contact and told me that you might able to help me on the subsidy on these dogs rescued medical check up fees. I do hope you can help me to subsidy some of the cost as I am saving money for one of the injured dog surgery due dislocated hips. The dog had accident (hit by car) prior before MPSJ catches him and put into pound. The vet told me surgery cost + treatment + vacination + boarding sum up more than RM1K. I haven’t tell the vet to proceed for surgery as I am saving money for the expenses.

I have been sleepless night and exhausted last week coming out plan on how to rescue out these dogs and finding adopters and fosterers. I don’t get any profit on this. All I want is to see these dogs rescued are safe, happy and able to get a second chance to have a loving family that can take care of them. Looking at my own 3 dogs, I felt relief that I finally able to rescue out these pound dogs. And now what I need to do is to find home for these 6 dogs. Currently, there are 2 potential adopters have express interest on pitbull only. Don’t worry I will interview them before I allow them to adopt the dog.
