This one could be their own cat (Cruelty at boarding house)

Someone sent me this link: https://www.facebook.com/?sk=ru#!/photo.php?fbid=1178093028786&set;=a.1082886168674.10386.1721944222&type;=1&theater;

It shows a photograph of the operators’ own cats.

I think one of the cats currently boarded at the vet’s could be the cream-coloured cat in the photograph. If it is, then it is their own cat.

This one.

Maslinda and I are trying to determine if it could be one of their cats.

It looks very similar in colour, but we cannot compare the body as this cat is shaven. But it sure looks like it.

I heard from KTAJ that the rest of the unclaimed cats could be their own cats, too, and from this facebook link http://www.facebook.com/notes/petknode-cat-boarding/amanat-untuk-jagaan-kucing-kucing-kami/10150295696489351, the operators have asked for help to look after their cats.

However, from the comments in this link, apparently, they have pressed charges on the owners who had broken into their premises to take out their pet-cats. KTAJ verifies this too.

It seems ironical that they are asking for help for their cats, yet at the same time, are pressing charges on the very people who brought their own cats to safety.

Aren’t humans totally bewildering beings?

Cilakak! What is this about-turn? DVS said they are passing this to the police as a more serious cheating and fraud case with higher penalty for the scumbags and the police are shoving it back into DVS's face that this is a miserable animal cruelty case worth only RM200? Another case closed plus failure to prosecute? Aisayman!

Police pass Petknode case to vet department (http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/police-pass-petknode-case-to-vet-dept/)

    September 06, 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 — Police said today that investigations into Petknode are in the hands of the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), prompting animal lovers to condemn the cops for “washing their hands” of the pet boarding centre’s failure to care for hundreds of cats left starving, dehydrated and covered in their own waste over the extended Hari Raya holidays.

Animal welfare activists and PKR leaders were told by Bukit Aman police this evening that despite dozens of police reports made to Petaling Jaya police for cheating and theft, the case has been classified as animal cruelty under the Animal Act which is being handled by the Selangor DVS.

The activists also pushed for police to investigate immediately the whereabouts of another 100 cats that they claim are still locked up by Petknode.

“He said that the investigations are being handled by DVS,” Foo Chek Seng from Bukit Aman’s media unit told about a dozen activists here after speaking to Petaling Jaya criminal investigation chief Sia Siew Keng on the phone.
“We need proof of theft,” Foo added when pressed by the activists over the missing cats.

PKR vice president N. Surendran immediately told reporters that “we came here hoping that the top brass police would pay attention to the suffering of the animals but we have come up against a solid brick wall.”

“He has basically told me there is nothing he can do and that it is up to the commercial crimes department if they want to charge for cheating,” the lawyer, who was also representing the Malaysian Animal Rights and Welfare Society (Roar), said after personally speaking to Sia on the phone.

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) chairman Christine Chin also lashed out at the police for being unable to investigate the whereabouts of the 100 cats “who are starving to death”.

“It’s not rocket science,” she said, pointing out that the Petknode owners, Shahrul Azuwan Adanan and Yushairi Khairuddin had already been identified and questioned by police.

Cat owners, who had taken advantage of Petknode’s promotional offer to board their animals for just RM3.95 per night over the balik kampung period, returned to find their cats emaciated and traumatised after being left unattended for as long as nine days in a row.

Animal rescuers had broken into Petknode’s premises to save up to 150 cats on Sunday, and joined by the owners of the pets and other animal lovers, had called for the boarding centre operators to be jailed, fined and sued.

The owners of the Petknode animal boarding centre, however, had apologised earlier today for the condition of the cats and even thanked the rescuers for fostering 26 cats and a dog that they admitted they were unable to care for.

The activists and PKR leaders present today are also seeking to meet the Petaling Jaya police chief tomorrow morning in hope of locating and freeing the 100 allegedly missing cats

Die-lah! With the police rejecting the case as theirs, the culprits will get off scott-free, their wallets oni RM200 lighter (animal cruelty case by DVS mah), later to be reimbursed well up to the brim from their tresspassing suit against the rescuers team, and their own cats "amanat-ed" (but I really don't care about this because the cats are innocent).

Interesting world … as, as one animal activist said the other day, "This big hoohah too will soon be forgotten …".
