Looking for the owners of these cats (Cruelty at boarding house)

Will the owners of these three cats please contact me at chankahyein@gmail.com or Wani at wanimuthiah@gmail.com?

These cats were found to be emaciated when they were rescued on 4th September from the boarding house in Damansara Damai. They are currently warded at a pet hospital in PJ and we are looking for their owners.

Please help forward this link.

My guess is, they could have bitten off their fur out of desperation and frustration as they were trapped without food and water for more than a week.

One was found in a dying condition and was immediately put on drips – she was then able to stand up and mew. The other two were given subcutaneous fluids.

All three are still warded and under treatment.

We appeal to the owners to contact us as soon as possible.

No, does not look like the cats licked or bit off their own fur. Looks more like the culprits shoved off the dirty fur clumped tightly together to get rid of as much discriminating, filthy, lack-of-care evidence as possible because the cat owners were coming back for collection (the photo of the 1st cat, calico is more obvious). So they did a real quicky job here and there, whatever they could (cosmetic job instead of providing medical care, food and water).

i fostered one of the cats brought to vet. it was 6 of them brought to gasing vet but these 3 is warded and the other 3 discharged at the same day on 4th sep.

i believed that either they bit off their own fur or it just falls off due to dehydration coz when i stroke the cat i fostered for petting, the fur came off.

No, I don't think they have been there longer than the merdeka raya period because those idiots did not feed them at all and no cats can survive long like that … 16 oredi died, remember? Got some more missing and owners cannot find them, so maybe died also. Those idiots stashed the cats at many places, got some more possible undiscovered places. Animal cruelty police cannot put them in dark room and wallop the shit out of them to reveal as much information as possible. They are now walking around free, eating, drinking, living a full life and untouchable! Only cats wat! 🙁

  5. The owners probably cannot recognise these cats because their lovely fur is nearly all gone. I read that cats shed their hair when they are stressed and especially when they are in the fight/flight mode. This is why cats lose a lot of hair when they visit vets. I understand from what I read that cats automatically loose their hair so that if another animal catch hold of them in a tight grip during a fight, the loose hair will come off and so they can make their escape.

This is found on AsiaOne's New Straits Times today (http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Malaysia/Story/A1Story20110906-297960.html):

Selangor Veterinary Services Department director Dr Abdul Latiff Borhan, when contacted, said a DEAD KITTEN HAD BEEN FOUND IN A CHILLER inside the centre's premises when two officers went for inspection.

"We are conducting a post-mortem on the kitten and a cat to determine the cause of death. The results could lead us to something.

"We are also looking at a maximum sentence so that the owners will not be able to operate any more. Right now, we are focusing on gathering information and proof so that we can drag them to court," Latiff said.
