Update: One of these 9 dogs was not vaccinated as the vet found a gaping wound on him. The payment made will be kept for the 10th dog (who is currently on antibiotics).

Today, 9 of the 13 rescued pound dogs were given their first vaccination and deworming. We have fully sponsored RM180 for this. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors, Panda N Gang and In Memory of Khoo Beng Nee.
Of the 13 dogs initially rescued, one escaped a few days ago by biting through the cage and escaping through a hole in the fence. PAWS sent out 3 workers to look for the escapee and have continued to look for him/her daily but he/she could not be found. However, this is the smartest of the lot and the hardest to catch even during the rescue mission, so the chances are he/she will probably know how to survive out there in the estate. There has been no roadkill too, thankfully. Ironically this dog’s tag is D-88, so let’s hope he/she can “fatt-fatt” out there, be safe and well.
Eugene will be taking the two elderly dogs for a medical check-up. Both appear to be weak and hence, cannot be vaccinated yet. Another dog has a limping hind-leg and PAWS is treating this dog with antibiotics so he/she also cannot be vaccinated yet.
The 2 elderly dogs.
