Dr Veeranoot’s 4 kittens all back, now warded at clinic

Ref: http://animalcare.my/2011/08/another-sad-story-from-dr-veeranoot.html

We can finally heave a sigh of relief.

Dr Veeranoot has taken back the remaining three kittens from the adopter and now, all four are warded at the clinic for fungal infection.

We are relieved they are not in any critical state.

According to Dr Veeranoot, the adopter is financially well-off and feeds the kittens Hill’s Science, but the family did not seem to know that the kittens were unwell and had fungal infection.

Dr Veeranoot sent them straight to the vet’s and the vet said the fungal infection is self-limiting but would take 2-3 months to heal.

Thongkon is the weakest of the four and Dr Veeranoot brought him back first. He was having diarrhoea but the dirrhoea is under control now.

We hope all the four kittens will recover soon.

And then, it would be back to the drawing board – to look for adopters….again.

My current foster kitten has a similar fungal infection, so I wonder how anyone can look at any animal with large, spreading bald patches and not realise that something is wrong?!? If our own hair fell out in large clumps, I think most of us would seek medical attention. *rolls eyes*

I join Dr. Veeranoot in praying that all our kittens' fur grows back soon! 🙂
