Little Storm’s nanny

Myza just sent this:

We panicked yesterday when Storm was feeling uneasy and could not rest. She also could not pee or poo, even after we stimulated her with a wet cloth. Being inexperienced with puppies, we were really at a loss until our rescued dog, Gigi, came to the rescue! Being a mother of 11 puppies, she licked Storm and managed to make her pee and poo several times! Animals are amazing!

The caring nanny, Gigi, watching over little Storm.

Yes, animals are amazing!

Awwwww! How sweeeeeet! Animals are so amazing and this post really makes my day. I have a rescued female cat dumped with missing suckling kittens (her teats showed). I spayed her several weeks ago and then found 2 dumped newborn kittens in a garbage dump full of ants over them, eyes still closed.

I put them with my spayed female cat and she immediately nuzzled them close to her teats to encourage them to suckle, which they did. Next day, her teats start swelling up with milk.

This morning, they are still alive, eyes already opened and crawling around on their bellies under the watchful eye of a surrogate mum who has since bitten my hands twice (I needed a course of Penicillin V) when I inserted my hands in to clean/change food/water bowls and the newspaper in litter tray.

    Heartwarming huh?
