I wrote yesterday that I didn’t know it would be “so easy” to get a pedigree adopted, but at the same time, it was also “very difficult” to choose who to give Yorky to.
But finally we have, and here are owner and puppy – Daniel and Yorky!
When I arrived at the clinic today, Daniel was cuddling Yorky and Yorky wasn’t trembling at all. He was so, so comfortable, snuggling up to Daniel. That was definitely a good sign!
Daniel is also a pet rescuer, and he has his own group called “Save a Breed a Day”. He and his friends (bless their ever so kind hearts) go around breeders and vets’ clinics rescuing and buying up abused animals, nurse them to health and get them adopted. Their adoption rate is so good, they don’t even have any left for adoption right now! Daniel – can you please help me rehome some Ketam dogs? I’m desperate!
Yorky will be homing in with a rescued poodle, maltese (abandoned by owner) and another rescued cat.
At the time of this writing, I just text Daniel and Yorky has been groomed and now has a handsome “new look”!
I’m so glad Yorky has a good and loving home now, with 3 new friends plus owner. Sometimes when animals outnumber humans, you do wonder “who owns who”? Doesn’t matter, really…..as long as everyone loves everyone! And I’m sure in Daniel’s home, they all do.
Rejoice!!
P.S. Daniel just text to say Yorky is happily running around, chasing and playing with his other pets now. Now, that’s a far cry from what he was before this – timid, scared, trembling and always running into a corner. Double rejoicing, folks!
