Two more kittens adopted!
Here are the two kittens adopted today, by none other than our cat-angel, Vics – it’s for Vics’ friend. The kittens are strays who are being fed by Rani. Thank you once again, Vics, for helping us take two kittens off the streets. Anytime an animal is adopted (especially a stray), it’s an occasion for…

Joanie’s supper time!
We went out for dinner this evening, so Joanie is now having supper instead of dinner. “Supper” includes her medications, of course. Here’s Bobby watching close by, as he had with all the other kittens I’ve brought back. My husband came back from work, took one look at Joanie and said, “Got CHARISMA…so confident!” Oh…

Joanie’s tea time
Hello everyone. I just fed Joanie, and she licked the food off my hand now – no longer needs to be force-fed. And what an appetite too! I gave her the spirulina as well. She spat out half of it, though – needs to learn to like the taste since it’s berry-flavoured. Yummz – can…

Joanie is discharged! (Day Six)
Here’s Joanie, folks. I brought her back from the hospital today. Before leaving for the hospital, I talked to as many of my cats as I could – told them I’d be bringing back a sick cat who needs a home to stay. At the hospital, Joanie walked in by herself into the carrier! She…

Today’s “happenings”
Good morning, everyone. The photo above shows Indy Jones looking at his very own book! And you see the white bottle on the table? That’s the liquid spirulina sponsored by Sumitra – it’s for Joanie, to help in her healing and the boosting of her immune system. Thank you so much, Sumitra. The doctor said…

Xiao Li needs a home
Only 2 1/2 weeks old. Possibly rejected by her mum. Fallen into drain three times, covered with filth and moss. Great survivor.

Joanie can go “home” tomorrow!
Joanie’s latest blood test shows a marked improvement. From very bad readings initially, now all her readings have come back to normal (except for two, which also are almost in the normal range). Joanie has literally “come back to life” after undergoing an ordeal so terribly unimaginable – obstructed labour and having dead foetuses decomposing…

Joanie hisses at doctor today! (Day Five, morning)
Ha! So we now know she IS a fighter, after all. Little Joanie (of Ark?) hissed at the doctor twice today. Fierce little thing, aren’t we? She could also walk into her cage all by herself. She ate quite a bit too, when I handfed her, but later towards the end, she had diarrhoea. The…

Indy Jones…in action!
Good morning everyone. I’m really excited today because FINALLY, after months of delay, my fourth book is ready. It’s called Indy Jones and the Kingdom of the 4 Brahmaviharas. And you can see a draft version of the cover in the photo above. This is the Buddhist version, but a secular version called Indy Jones…

Gifts of the heart and of the eye
Today, I got two kittens adopted from Philos (both already spayed), one of our panel vets. The adopter is Dr Veeranoot aka Sis Nui. I was pleasantly surprised when I reached Sis Nui’s house with the kittens. She had bought two cages and labelled them “Kwanta” and “Kwanjai”, tied with pretty little red ribbons. Sis…

Joanie’s updates (Day Four, evening)
It would have been more appropriate for me to give this posting the title “Joanie poo-poo-ed this evening” (!!), because she did! Now, that’s an achievement. At least now, we know she can still urinate and defecate and these are all good signs. I handfed her again, and she ate it all up, but she…
