Frannie sent an SOS shortly after arriving home with Abby. It seems Abby attacked one of her cats. So, it’s no go.
Frannie wanted to send Abby back straight away, but the vet was closed already, so she will be sending Abby for boarding tomorrow at her vet, and we are to collect Abby before 12noon.
Sigh…looks like it did not work out.
It’s strange how Abby could be so gentle and docile with us, but changed into a hostile mood at Frannie’s house.
My guess (and this is just a guess) is that Abby would attack when she senses fear in anyone, human or animal. And perhaps Frannie’s cats were afraid of Abby.
Animals attack when they sense fear in the other party. It is a natural instinct.
Even Bobby does that to humans. He bullies all my friends who have even the slightest fear of him.
We will have to go back to the drawing board and start looking again.
Alicia says she is game to try Abby out tomorrow, but Alicia also has four cats.
We will hope for the best…again.

It could be because it was a new place, so Abby was feeling scared as well… needs time to rehome, after all she was in the same place for 13 yrs before that horrible person kicked her out
Yes, I think it was an immediate reaction on the part of Abby. It is very traumatic for her because she doesn't understand what is going on. Maybe she needs time to adjust. But Frannie has decided it's no go, so we have to respect that. We'll just have to look for someone else.
