Abby is going to another home today

Dear all, today is a new day, and we’ll be collecting Abby from Frannie’s vet, and then, Alicia will take over and try Abby out at her home, with her four cats.

Pray, please pray that Abby will behave this time…with Alicia’s cats AND her young children.

We are really grateful to Alicia for being willing to try Abby out despite the fact that Abby has attacked one of Frannie’s cats. Alicia said her cats are used to dogs. I’m hoping her cats are not afraid of dogs. I have a hunch that Abby only attacks when she senses fear.

P.S. I just spoke to Frannie on the phone and she is feeling very depressed about the whole thing because she says Abby is such a nice dog, and she wished she could keep her. If only Abby had not attacked her cat… Sometimes it is really hard to predict an animal’s behaviour in different environments. We will never really understand an animal, despite all the intelligence we claim to have. They have their reasons to behave as they do. We are not here to judge them, but to help them as best as we can.
