A no-kill animal sanctuary in Langkawi

Good morning, everyone.
In 2006, when we did the Puchong Dog Pound rescue (read Chapter 3: The Big Rescue Operation, Pawprints on My Heart), there was a dog whose leg needed to be amputated.  We funded that, and subsequently, we flew (yes, by aeroplane) the dog to this animal sanctuary in Langkawi.

For those visiting Langkawi, if you do drop in to this place, please take some photos and send them to us.

It is wonderful to know that this animal sanctuary operates on a no-kill principle.

I have often wondered how animal “shelters” can call themselves so when euthanasia is rampant in such places.

Jamie, you might want to visit this place?

P.S.  As I am writing this, there is an attempted coup-de-tat taking place right here, in my room.  Next posting, please….if you are interested in the misadventures of SUKI, the terror!

  1. i heard about this place from my bro, but it was few years back! he went to langkawi and stayed at this place called Bonton, and at that time they only have cats around, the cats are free to roam around the resort areas 🙂 it's a really nice place! you can find Skippy's (a cat from the sanctuary) picture here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kiteion/79012328/in/set-72157594230148301/ and i believe if you search around, you could find more pictures of the place 🙂
