After packing the tshirts, I rushed to Healing Rooms to settle Rahnee’s bill, thinking that Rani would have picked up Rahnee at 7.00pm as agreed. The clinic was already closing by then.
To my surprise, the vets said Rani had not turned up at all. Oh dear…
Then, I realised my hp battery got gone completely flat (later, I saw 7 missed calls from Rani). Apparently she could not get transport to the clinic.
So I went up to check on Rahnee, and she seemed very well. The amputated part has been neatly bandaged and she is still on drips.
I got my camera out and discovered I had forgotten to put in the memory card – so no photo. Then, my hp was also dead, oh dear…can’t even take an hp photo there.
But Rahnee was ok – that’s the most important thing. I spoke to the vet and he says the surgery went very well, and Rahnee should be able to sit up tomorrow, and start running by the 3rd day. Ok…that sounds promising.
The vet had earlier explained that they would be removing the entire limb, as high as possible because he does not want any stump left. Being a cat, if there were a stump, she would try to use the stump, and that would pose problems later on, ie. infections, etc.
I paid the bill, which only came up to RM385, plus one night’s boarding since Rani could not pick her up.
Then, I drove home, thinking I’d get the memory card for my camera and go take some photos of Rahnee before the vet closes. Also, I had to go to Carrefour to buy food supplies for the Bentong dogs tomorrow since we are making a trip there.
Upon reaching home, my house was in total darkness. Oh dear, must have been a power failure while I was away packing tshirts at the shop. I got in and it was so dark I could not see the fusebox to re-activate the fuse.
I grappled in the darkness, fed the cats, and found my way to my laptop, took out my memory card and drove back to the vet’s.
On the way, goodness gracious, you won’t believe the traffic jam!! It was total madness. There I was, on the opposite side of the road and I could see that the clinic wasn’t closed yet. But the traffic wasn’t moving.
Finally, I got there, and the vets were kind enough to let me go upstairs to take some shots of Rahnee.
So, here you go….
