Great news, folks! After a wild-goose chase today, we found out that Megan had already been adopted last Monday.
We actually found two adopters (thanks to Jamie Khoo) this morning, and since I was busy at our booth at Jaya One, I enlisted the help of Alice Ong to find out about Megan at PAWS.
Alice did, and there was NO such dog.
Confusion, confusion, confusion…..and few phonecalls, and finally Lisa found out for me that Megan had already been adopted last Monday!
That’s great news. I knew it shouldn’t be so difficult getting Megan adopted since she is purebred (people still go for branded dogs).
And anyway, there is another mixed Cocker-English Shepherd at PAWS awaiting adoption. He is male and about 2 years old. I’ve asked one of the interested adopters to consider taking this dog instead of Megan.
Let’s hope we can save another dog from the shelter.

Hopefully the next family that adopted Megan adopted her as she is and not as a pedigree. It will still be traumatic for Megan to be separated from someone who was supposed to love her in health, in sickness, in youth and in aged….but she will never understand…and hopefully the human one day will understand the suffering he or she has caused.
This dog Magan has never been surrendered to PAWS in the first place. I do not understand or know how this news about Magan came about. I feel that it is best that before anyone put ant information into any blog should check with the office for a more accurate information rather than all this wild goose chase!
It urgent email was sent to me by an animal-lover, with the puppy.com postings by the owner herself saying the dog has been surrendered to PAWS and the deadline of 8th Dec for euthanasia was given. Please see this: http://animalcare.my/2009/12/paws-clarification-and-our-apology.html
Since it appeared to be urgent and I did not think any owner would make up such a story, I put in the posting.
We apologise to PAWS for the misinformation.
Yes, Mettacats, Megan will miss her former owners very, very much because dogs DO love their humans regardless of whether their humans love them or not – the first owner who went off to NZ leaving her behind with the mother, then the mother who subsequently also left … hell, when I lose a stray kitten or cat after caring for it merely for several days my heart hurt like hell and I suffer immense mental anguish, what more losing your humans that you have loved for years …. ouch! Poor, poor Megan, she must surely be heartbroken and in grief!
