Sandra, in need of fostering

Sandra is one of the many puppies living in the abandoned house, being looked after daily by Oliver.

About a week ago, Oliver discovered a wound on Sandra so he brought Sandra (the name given by him) to the vet’s for treatment and a minor surgery was required.  Sandra could not be released back to the abandoned house because she needed a clean environment to recover from the wound.

Oliver brought Sandra back to his apartment, to foster, before removal of stitches.

And here’s what happened…(from Oliver):

Sandra is been discharged from the clinic today, the vet told me that i need to keep sandra in a cage as not to let her move too much and also to keep my own dog away from her after the minor surgery.

After i reach home i put sandra into a cage where she begin to whine and howler nonstop for at least 25 minutes. Until my neighbour came knocking on my doorsteps together with a security guard, Well you don’t want to know the details of our conversation, but i think you can guess as well since i’m staying in an apartment.

The vet told me to bring sandra over to the clinic on the coming week 16/1/2010 to remove the stiches.

Hence i would really appreciate if anyone can temporary help me to foster sandra until she is adopted. I’m willing to pay for sandra necessary fees like food and some vitamins and i will also help to bring sandra back to the vet to remove the stiches.

All i hope is that sandra can get adopted soon and live a happy life.

I will also post this message at petfinder.my as well, hopefully someone is willing to help.

We have offered to board Sandra at our panel vet in the event that Oliver cannot find any fosterer.

As of now, no one has offered and Oliver is running a high fever too (is some bug in the air because Ainey was sick, I am sick, and Oliver is sick too).  So, I’ve made arrangements for Sandra to board at our vet’s (courtesy of AnimalCare).

Oliver will bring Sandra over tomorrow, board until Saturday, after which he will take Sandra for removal of stitches, and we hope to rehome Sandra.

Look at how cute she is…

The wound and the stiches.
In fact, we are looking for adopters for all of the puppies, and hopefully, the mum, too.
Please help us find homes.
One lucky puppy, adopted by Mr Lee last week.
His name is now Robbin and is Mr Lee’s son’s pet.
Lucky Robbin!
Please help us find homes for all the puppies.

It is sad to note that our country's level of tolerance and understanding is as limited as our general compassion towards living beings.

It is a common practice to hear such stories from those who live in apartments. Neighbours should be more tolerant. All we fosterer's need is some 2-3 days to 'house-train' a new dog.

We don't complain when your kids wake us up at 4am daily for 3 years, now do we?

There are also some in terrace houses who do not tolerate nor have compassion for animals.
Even my own relatives and friends told me that I am wasting too much time looking after 4 abandoned dogs that I have adopted! To them having dogs are so "mah fun".
Well, they do not know the joy and happiness I get from these furry friends of mine. These furry friends are the ones keeping me sane in this insane world.

These people say "mah fun" because they have neither love nor compassion in them … seriously! And likely to be beyond redemption, so talk till you are blue in the face or demonstrate all the kindness and joy to them but no amount of persuasion will sway them. Because their hearts are cold, hard and frozen.
