MPK reclamation fee waived

I received a call from the officer, En Zakaria, who had helped us the most when we rescued the 59 dogs out of the Klang Dog Pound from 14th-16th Dec 2009.  Please note that En Zakaria is a very kind person and he feels very sorry for the dogs, and he helped me get a discount for the reclamation fee for each dog (something FOUR politicians failed to do).

Now, here’s a tiny headway for those who wish to rescue dogs out of the pound.

The reclamation fee has now been waived.  Non-Klang residents are strongly encouraged to adopt or rescue the dogs.  However, PLEASE follow the proper procedures and fill up the necessary forms.

We thank En Zakaria for spearheading this.

I will update with more details when I hear from En Zakaria again on the procedures.

With the fees waived, I hope there will not be any unscrupulous people taking advantage of easy to obtain dogs as a cheap supply for controversial consumption.

  2. I hope so too. Humans are capable of unimaginable cruelty and the most sadistic acts. One wonders why they use the word "animal" as a derogatory remark. Humans are the only creatures that eat for pleasure, and this includes brains from screaming monkeys.

Yes, KY, humans also kill and destroy more than what they really need. At least animals kill only enough for their own consumption to survive. They do not kill for fun and they do not waste. Humans can be so despicable – it is true that the more you love the animals and develop compassion for them in your hearts, the more you despise the human race for its incredible capacity for cruelty. The role God actually gave us is stewardship over his creatures.

  4. if one does not love animal, he/she is impossible to love anythings……..

  5. I love animals and I do agree with all your comments except that I do not think human intentionally want to be cruel. Some people are just more ignorant than others. They have a little more dust than others. We just need to continue educating….patiently.

One, your "faith" in human nature is admirable. Naive but admirable.
I have seen and know differently from experience. I hope your belief in the intrinsic goodness of humans remains intact as you continue to educate people. Maybe that is what will give you the patience required to get through to people who are cruel to animals.
Please understand, I am not laughing at you. Actually, I admire your faith in human nature. I wish I weren't so distrustful.
Whatever our feelings about human nature, lets just keep our vision for the welfare of animals clear. So that no matter what, we keep up the support for each other to get things done for the betterment of the life of the animals.

  7. It was W.H. Auden who wrote: We are here on Earth to do good to others (animals included, I'm sure). What others are here for, I don't know.

Let humans be whatever they are. We do what is right. That would be enough.

As there are humans who are happy doing good either wilfully out of the goodness of their hearts or out of ignorance, sadly on the other hand, there are actually people who wilfully set out to perform evil and cruel deeds and actually feel joy at the sight of the pain and suffering of others. They are termed sadists.

There is our good God and His faithful followers who follow His commandments, and there is also Satan and his evil followers.

For the after life, there is Heaven and there is also Hell.
