  • Food for Meiji’s dogs

After seeing to the cat with the hernia problem, I took Meiji to our regular petfood shop to get supplies.  Meiji needs tick control for 6 puppies that she had just brought back from LLLP.  They were full of ticks.  She also has some dogs with skin problem, and some rescued kittens.  We sponsored Bayticol…

  • A cat S.O.S. from Meiji

Meiji brought a cat down here this morning, on an emergency.  She rushed the cat to UPM, had the X-rays taken, but UPM was unable to do the surgery because it is short-handed for two weeks.  So, Meiji called and asked if she could bring the cat to our panel vet at Healing Rooms. I…

  • Because you loved us, Suki

My daughter, Ming-Yi, finally managed to choose a song to make Suki’s memorial video clip. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTnqNmzSXcU Because you loved us, Suki. And we will always love you.  Suki, our little princess of mischief, who brought untold joy into our household, we will meet again on Rainbow Bridge.

  • Tam Tam is recovering

We also stopped by to visit Tam Tam.  Tam Tam is a stray, being fed by Julie Pek.  While Julie was away for CNY, Tam Tam must have met with an accident.  She was discovered with a severely injured right front leg, which had to be amputated.  Her left hind leg is also dislocated, but…

  • Visiting Russell

We visited Russell yesterday.  Russell is one of our Klang Dog Pound survivors.  He is currently boarding at PAWS.   Russell is neutered, and has completed his vaccinations (including the booster).  He is less than 1 year old, and is very alert and active.  He would make a very good watchdog and loyal companion.  He has…

  • Siti’s cat sanctuary

A few weeks ago, Susan Zakaria contacted me by email, to ask if we could help her friend, Siti.  Siti is a cat-lover and she has a small cat sanctuary.  Yesterday, Ainey and I paid a visit to this sanctuary.  This is the entrance to Siti’s cat sanctuary. The cages are located inside. Siti (wearing…

  • We can learn from others

Tita, a cat, belonging to Ruben Gaviria, breastfeeds and looks after a squirrel at his house in Envigado, near Madellin, Columbia.  Gaviria rescued the squirrel six days ago after it was found injured in a park. There is no need to go far and wide to perform good deeds.  Opportunities abound in our own neighbourhood.…

  • Updates on Perky

Perky is one of our Klang Dog Pound survivors.  She was adopted by Meiling some weeks back after being treated and spayed.  Shortly after being adopted, Perky developed tick fever.  We sponsored the treatment for this as well.  Perky has since recovered and is doing very well.    Here’s a photo and today’s update from Meiling:…

  • A 2nd opinion on PJay

Today, we had a most challenging task – to take PJay to Dr Vijay for a second opinion.  The vets at Puchong have told us that Pjay screams the moment anybody touches him, not just his repaired leg, but any part of his body.  So they have had to sedate him every time they did any…

  • Tam Tam’s surgery went well

Tam Tam’s surgery is just over.  She is resting now.  The feeder, Julie, has decided to board Tam Tam for tonight.  We will continue to send healing and positive thoughts to Tam Tam.  We hope she will be able to cope with the dislocated hind leg, especially now that the front right leg has been…

  • Updates from Daniel

Here’s happy news from Daniel.  Daniel adopted Wolfie and Simba from us about a week ago.  Earlier on, Daniel adopted Pucci from us, too.  Daniel with Wolfie and Simba. Daniel’s updates: Things at my place are very good.  Simba, being the youngest and smallest, is the most manja with me.  Wolfie is now called Princess,…

We would like to thank the following donors for their contribution to the animals currently being treated by our vets, and also for the many animals yet to come.  Mong Looi Mah Wai Peng Low Bin Kee Stray animals are one of earth’s most down-trodden beings, and we are grateful to you for extending your generosity to them.…

  • Urgently required – a fosterer for PJay

PJay is one of our rescued dogs, picked up from the highway with a broken femur.  Surgery was done to insert a metal pin to rejoin the femur and has been successful.  However, PJay has refused to use his repaired leg, and has been boarding at the clinic for many weeks now. We are taking…

  • Getting Cleo to come home

Cleo “ran away from home” yesterday.  We suspect she wasn’t too happy with the presence of Xiao Li and Bandit (but we’ll never really know for sure).  We spotted her just outside the house, but could not get her to come home.  So yesterday, it was an all-out operation to get Cleo to come home…somehow. …

  • Tam Tam’s leg needs amputation

Tam Tam is one of the cats managed by Julie Pek.  Today, Julie called me saying that Tam Tam has a bad leg injury and amputation is required.  I told Julie we could offer a partial sponsorship of the cost of her surgery if it is done at our panel vet.    So I met…
