Four dogs spayed/neutered today

Four dogs were spayed and neutered today.  Three were brought in by feeder, Ah Kuen, from Old Klang Road.

Here are their photos:

Male dog, after surgery.
Female dog, after surgery.
The vet was performing the surgery on the third female dog when I arrived, and I was just in time because the vet wanted to let me know that this dog had a uterus infection, and had to be put on drips.  The infection was not detectable until the surgery was performed.  This dog would have to be on further treatment after this.
The sight below may not be pleasing to your eyes…
This is the infected uterus.  Inside is already full of pus.
I hope the dog will pull through.  In a way, perhaps the spaying was a “blessing in disguise” because the infection was detected.
Ah Kuen feeds about 15 dogs in her area.  These dogs will be released upon recovery.  We will be sponsoring the spay-neuter of all these dogs, provided she can catch them and bring them in.
The fourth dog was brought in by Ah Fatt.  This is a male dog, rescued last night because the neighbours complained and the local council was going to capture him this morning.
Sorry the photo is blur.  Handphone camera.
Ah Fatt will be rehoming the dog after recovery.
Today’s four surgeries were sponsored by us.
CNRM is the way to go for the stray animals.  Please help us to help them.

pyometra is one of the main causes of death in unspayed female dogs. Very lucky for the dog that she and the infection were caught in time.
