  • Fosterers needed urgently for cats

Just as I was talking about getting cats spayed-neutered so that there would be fewer complaints, here we have an urgent request from Jacelyn, for fosterers for 20 over cats.  A lady has been keeping 20 over cats in her house.  Her neighbour has put in a complaint to the local council and now, the council…

  • Two more female cats spayed

Norma is a cat-feeder in USJ.  Today, she brought two female cats to be spayed under our sponsorship.  Here are the cats: Just anaestetised.  Surgery about to begin. Waiting for her turn. Norma feeds and looks after about 30 strays near her house.  We are always pleased to help rescuers and feeders in the spay-neuter…

  • Siti’s cats spayed

Siti, the cat-feeder, has got another 4 female cats spayed today, under our sponsorship.  Two more females will be spayed tomorrow.  This brings the total number of cats spayed in her colony to 12.  We will continue helping Siti in the spay-neuter of the cats in her colony, but hope others might be able to…

  • Pregnant dog in Kota Kemuning in need of a fosterer

There is a pregnant dog wandering in Kota Kemuning.  Wani of MDDB is looking for a fosterer for her so that she would have a safe place to deliver her puppies.  If you are able to help, please contact Wani directly at 012-2501497 for further details.

  • Poor, poor dog

A dog was rescued off the street last Friday.  I visited him today, and he certainly looks like a pet, or a former pet.  He is docile and friendly. Looking very sad in the cage. He was very happy when I opened the cage door to talk to him. I checked with the vet, and it…

  • Thank you, Davina!

Davina Goh, a celebrity performer, contacted me a few weeks ago, and said she had been invited to participate in a Polestar dancing event to raise funds for a charity of her choice and she had decided to raise funds for AnimalCare. Here is the link: http://www.mypolestars.com/#/celebrities/4540097388 We’d like to thank Davina very much for doing…

  • Peanut-Butter updates

Peanut and Butter are eating well.  I am putting in some RC intestinal kibbles together with their steamed chicken.  When they were examined two days ago, the vet detected fungal spots on them too, but he said the diarrhoea should be arrested first since the fungal problem is not life-threatening.  I have been applying Apple…

  • Russell rehomed

Russell has been finally rehomed to Meiji’s farm.  According to Meiji, Russell is very happy inside his cage.  I guess he feels safer inside the cage since he has been in a cage for almost four months now.  I hope in time, Russell will venture out and enjoy the freedom of living in a farm. …

  • Peanut-Butter’s current interest

Peanut and Butter’s current hit favourite toys seem to be the two kitchen slippers.  Here they are again, playing on and with the slippers. They don’t fight over the slippers.  Butter takes the dark blue thongs, Peanut takes the Japanese slippers. Slide the paw in…that’s nice and comfy. Now, for a snooze on the slippers.…

  • Rescued dog

Michelle Yoong rescued a dog from the highway a few days ago, and she sent it to our panel vet for a diagnosis.  The prognosis is not very good as the dog has an injury on its spine.  We are helping out by subsiding the medical cost.  I have communicated with Michelle, and she has…

  • Teddybear and Xiao Li’s updates

The good news is that Teddybear and Xiao Li have settled in very well, and are in good health.  Here are some photos: It is really so nice to know that they are both doing well.

  • One thing after another

Peanut-Butter seems to be afflicted with one thing after another.  Apart from the stubborn diarrhoea, I noticed that Peanut’s urine seemed to be decreasing.  Since this morning, he strained twice, and the urine was blood-stained too.  I suspected FLUTD, so I rushed them both to the vet’s in between work.  I really prayed it wouldn’t…

  • Supporting Meiji’s spay-neuter of strays

Today, Meiji brought a female dog, WongWong, for TVT treatment at our panel vet.  WongWong had very bad skin condition the last time I saw her, but is now on the road to recovery.  WongWong was also diagnosed with TVT but the treatment had to wait until her skin improved.  Here’s Meiji with WongWong. I…

  • Wii’s progress

Now Wii eats inside the house.  Occasionally, Cow & Bunny still terrorise him, so we have to be on the look-out for those two.  Tiger accompanies Wii while he eats. Indy is on neutral ground.  Pole is Cow & Bunny’s sister, but she doesn’t terrorise anyone.  She just comes back to eat several times a…

  • Peanut-Butter updates

Peanut and Butter have not recovered from their diarrhoea yet.  I guess these things take time.  They are both active and like to play. Trying on slippers for size? Smiling for the camera? A more serious pose… Both are eating well, but the diarrhoea is still there.  I hope they will get well soon.
